Institute of Technology Sligo (Irish: Institiúid Teicneolaíochta, Sligeach) (ITS) is a state funded third-level educational institution situated in the city of Sligo, Ireland. The Institute has three Schools and 9 Departments.

The institute opened in 1970 as a Regional Technical College and adopted its present name on May 7, 1997.[1] Professor Terri Scott has been Director of the Institute since October 2008 and Dr. Brendan McCormack is the current Registrar.

The Institute is fast-becoming one of the leading third-level education bases in Ireland. In terms of student numbers, only the Dublin Institute of Technology outranks its science department.

On the sporting field, the college has been very successful in ladies soccer and more notably the senior football team, who have won the Sigerson Cup three times in the last six years. Success has also been had in areas such as lifesaving, cycling and hurling. The college also caters for other sports such as indoor soccer, hand gliding and most importantly their infamous College Rugby Team, the best college rugby team in the north west of the island
